Training: Sustainability Manager in Social Economy

Qualification as a Sustainability Manager with Certificate
Guided Introduction to Sustainability Management in Your Organisation

Why Sustainability Management?

A variety of new legal obligations and requirements (e.g., EU Taxonomy Regulation, German Supply Chain Act, Climate Protection and Climate Change Adaptation Act in Baden-Württemberg) require organisations to engage with sustainability. Depending on their size, social organisations will also be directly or indirectly affected by European sustainability reporting.

Good sustainability management supports you in making your social organisation future-proof and resilient:

Sustainability management in social organisations is geared towards designing activities and services in such a way that they are economically, ecologically and socially responsible in the long term.

The aim is to use resources sparingly and efficiently, minimise environmental impact and at the same time make a valuable contribution to society. Social organisations with effective sustainability management increase their attractiveness as an employer, especially for young people.

Reference to CSRD reporting: Important to know

Our training programme is aimed in particular at
organisations that want to introduce systematic sustainability management and start reporting on sustainability. The sustainability report is based on the European VSME reporting standard in accordance with the CSRD, but does not claim to cover all CSRD reporting requirements. For companies that will be subject to CSRD in the future, the course provides important groundwork, establishes structures and introduces the procedural requirements for reporting, which you can then expand on.

How is the training structured?

‘Learning at the workplace’ - modular course concept

Web seminars

The course is a combination of training, practical application and group sessions. You will benefit from a structured learning process that will successively teach you the procedure and methodology for introducing sustainability management within the context of web seminars that build on each other thematically. You will be able to prepare your own materiality analysis and sustainability report.

Practice phase

Between the web seminars, sufficient time is planned for your practical phase, in which you can apply what you have learned directly in your organisation.

Group consultations

We offer three one-hour group consultations between the webinars to enable you to exchange ideas and clarify any questions that arise during your practical phase.

This modular ‘learning in the workplace’ training concept integrates practical implementation into the course and empowers you to independently set up sustainability management in your organisation and continue to do so in the long-run.
